Welcome reception ICOM-CC’s 21th Triennial Conference: Oslo City Hall

The City of Oslo warmly invites the ICOM-CC 2026 delegates to a Welcome Reception on Monday, 14 September 2026, from 18.00 to 19.30.

Join us for welcome drinks and light refreshments, and take this opportunity to meet fellow ICOM-CC colleagues and network with participants from around the world. The reception will take place at the Oslo City Hall, a landmark renowned for its distinctive architecture and remarkable art collection.

Meeting point: the front entrance of the building behind the fountain (facing the city and not the harbour).

Please arrive promptly at 17.45, so entry procedures will begin on time. For security reasons, use of the cloakroom (free of charge) is mandatory, and your conference badge will be required for access.

Participation is included in the conference fee.

The congress dinner Thursday 17th of September 2026 at Oslo Kongressenter offers an elegant and memorable evening in the heart of Norway’s capital. Farewell Party – ICOM-CC Triennial 2026

Join us for the farewell party at the National Museum in Oslo on Friday, 18 September for an unforgettable evening of art, great company, and music.

The evening starts at 18:00 in the ground-floor Vestibule at the National Museum where you can enjoy refreshments and mingle, as well as explore the displays of design, craftsmanship, and fashion—from ancient artifacts to contemporary Norwegian style in the ground floor collection exhibition.

Later, the celebration moves upstairs to the elegant Salon where food and refreshments will be available. The upstairs collection exhibition will be open for a limited time, for you to immerse yourself in the paintings collection and contemporary Art, where Munch’s The Scream, Kittelsen’s mystical universe, and bold contemporary installations await.

As the evening unfolds, the atmosphere turns festive with a DJ setting the tone for a perfect ending to an inspiring week.

We hope you will join us and make the farewell party the grand finale of the 21st Triennial conference!

Meeting point
The main entrance to the National Museum at Brynjulf Bulls plass 3. The doors are open from 17:45. The event closes at 23:00.

Please note
Food and a limited number of drinks are complimentary, and a bar will be open for purchase of additional drinks.
The ground floor exhibitions will be open from 18:00 to 19:00. The second-floor exhibitions will be open from 19:00 to 21:00. Please note that food and drinks are not allowed in the exhibition areas.
Participation in the Farewell party is included in the conference fee.
